You said - we did - Learning from our customers
We use a number of methods to find out what tenants and leaseholders think about our services.
Tenant Service Inspectors
Our tenant service inspectors survey housing offices each month and estates every three months.
They judge our 'office of the month' competition and also award a 'star' rating to every estate following their inspections every three months. We compile a report based on their findings and always act on what they say.
Since the middle of 2007 the Tenant Services Inspectors Team has visited each estate every three months to assess its standard. The team have rated each estate from zero to three stars.
Overall progress has been positive with every estate showing signs of improvement:
- 90% of estates are now at a two star standard or above compared 36% in summer 2007
- All of our estates have a star rating compared to 28% with no stars in June 2007.

Estate inspections
We regularly hold estate inspections and everyone is welcome to take part. All you have to do is turn up at your area housing office at the right time - we'll then tour your estate and identify anything that needs fixing, sorting or improving.
We plan the dates up to 12 months in advance, so you can make sure you're free to take part every time. Don't worry if it's raining - we'll loan you a Nottingham City Homes umbrella!
We'll write down everything you say and then take action to improve your community.
To find out when the next estate inspection is in your area, visit or contact your area housing office
We also regularly ask a percentage of customers how they felt about their last contact with us. For example we will ask people who requested a repair what they thought of all aspects of our service - from when you make the first call to us completing the job.
Estate inspection results - June 2010
Every three months we produce a table of information showing how our estates are doing - whether they are improving or not. The table is bassed on our north, central and south areas. The areas they cover are shown below.
North area covers Bestwood, Bulwell, Heathfield, Basford and Top Valley.
Central area covers Aspley, Bilborough, Strelley and Radford.
South area covers Clifton, Lenton, Meadows, St Anns and Victoria Centre.
