Hate crime

This is a harassment motivated by the hatred of another person simply because of their race, gender, colour, religion, disability, age or sexuality and includes domestic violence.

We will not tolerate any form of harassment or hate crime. We encourage people to report incidents they experience or witness.

We will take your complaint seriously and thoroughly investigate it. We will interview you somewhere safe within one working day of you reporting something to us.

We may also:

• Consider immediate legal action to protect you, if you are the victim of violence or have been threatened with violence, and you are prepared to give evidence
• With your permission, share information with other organisations, including Nottinghamshire Police, to help us monitor racist incidents across the county
