Reporting anti-social behaviour
If you are a tenant of Nottingham City Homes and are suffering from any kind of anti-social behaviour, hate crime or domestic abuse, you can report this to us in a number of ways.
The police will always deal with emergencies if you dial 999.
There are a lot of ways you can report anti-social behaviour if it is less urgent but you need something done about it. The best way to report anti-social behaviour is by using our online report anti-social behaviour form. Alternatively, you can:
- Contact your area housing office.
- Call the Nottingham City Council anti-social behaviour helpline on 0115 915 2020. (This service is available 24 hours a day.)
- Report non-emergencies to the police on 0300 300 9999.
What happens when I report anti-social behaviour?
We will:
- Take details of your complaint and give you general advice.
- Arrange to meet you (either at your home or elsewhere) within 5 days to take full details from you.
- Agree an action plan with you. This will include what we will do to solve the problem. We will not take any action without your agreement.
- Give you an incident diary to fill in. We will explain how to do this or give you a dictaphone to record your comments.
- Give you details of other people who can help you.
Dealing with your complaint
We will:
- Deal with your complaint as quickly as possible.
- Aim to solve the problem without moving anyone or taking legal action.
- Keep any information you give us confidential.
- Ask your permission if we need to share your information with others.
- Contact the person(s) you complained about and work with them to solve the problem, issue appropriate warnings and take necessary action.
- Work with other agencies (such as the police and the environmental services section of Nottingham City Council) to solve the problem.
- Review all reported cases at least once a month and inform you of progress.
- When we close the case, we will discuss this with you first and advise you of the reason.
