Housing offices

We have a network of area housing offices across Nottingham.

At each office we can answer your enquiries about rent and debt advice, tenancy issues, allocations and dealing with anti-social behaviour.

All offices, except St Anns, Bestwood and Victoria Centre, have cash collection facilities where tenants can pay their rent, garage rent, council tax and various other payments. The cash counter at Aspley will close on 30th July 2010. All housing offices have private interview facilities. Each link below tells you more about the office and its area.

Our area housing offices

Housing offices opening times

You can call our housing offices between 8.30am and 4.50pm Monday to Friday

Housing office and payment counter closure programme

In January 2010, we wrote to you about cash collection at our housing offices and asked for your views. We have closed some of our housing offices entirely and the cash counters at others. This is partly because increased use of other methods of payment has meant that it is becoming more and more expensive for us to continue running a cash collection service in these locations. The money we will save by not processing cash payments will be reinvested into services which are important to our tenants.

Cash counter closures

Only the cash counters will close at this office. All other facilities, including tenancy management advice, will still be available:

  • Aspley housing office - 30th July 2010

Unaffected offices

No services will be affected at the following housing offices. This means that cash will still be taken and all services will carry on exactly as before.

  • Bulwell housing office
  • Clifton Cornerstone
  • Mary Potter Centre, Hyson Green

What does this mean for me?

If you usually visit one of the offices which is closing or has a cash counter which is closing, you will need to find another way to pay your rent, council tax and other payments you would otherwise make at the housing office.

You can do this by:

  • setting up a direct debit for each of these payments with your bank
  • paying in cash at your local:
    • post office
    • supermarket, newsagent or convenience store with a 'PayPoint' facility. Take a look at 'How to pay your rent' on this website for PayPoint locations

You can visit our housing offices between:
8.30am to 4.30pm - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
10.30am to 4.30pm - Wednesdays

Except:
Victoria Centre Housing Office
9.30am to 12.30pm and 1.45pm to 4.30pm - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
10.45am to 12.30pm and 1.45pm to 4.30pm on Wednesdays

Paypoint locations

You can pay your rent and other bills at any paypoint location across the city. For a list, please go to 'Where to pay your rent' or click on each of the housing office locations above to find your nearest paypoint shop.
