Making homes in Bulwell secure and warm
Nottingham City Homes’ partner Yorkshire Windows has now fitted secure-by-design windows to more than 900 properties in Bulwell.
The company is working with us to help us improve thousands of council houses across the city. In Bulwell they are fitting UPVC double glazed units to all homes in the area that need them.
For tenants who haven’t had their windows fitted yet, Yorkshire Windows is holding a coffee afternoon on Thursday 30th July at Snapewood Community Centre, Snape Wood Road, Nottingham, from 12noon to 3pm.
This will give tenants a chance to learn more about the quality of windows being fitted and ask questions about the installation. Nottingham City Homes staff will also be on hand to answer any questions tenants may have about the scheme.
The windows we use are ‘high quality and built to last. They make homes warmer, look better and also provide extra security. Those who have new windows will also be provided with Smart Water* to protect their valuables.
We visit all tenants before windows are fitted to discuss the details of their work and find out if they need any extra support. We have a Helping Hands scheme which is available to elderly and vulnerable tenants to help make the process a little easier.
