Efficiency East Midlands continues to grow!

Nottingham Community Housing Organisation (NCHA) is the latest organisation to join Efficiency East Midlands (EEM) - a brand new Procurement and Benchmarking Consortium of housing providers.

Its key aim is to bring together all Registered Housing Providers in the East Midlands to show how working collaboratively can bring savings to their organisations

The ever expanding membership of this consortium has now risen to nine housing providers, representing an overall housing stock of 86,458 properties across the East Midlands. The consortium now includes:

  • Nottingham City Homes
  • Derby Homes
  • A1 Housing
  • Ashfield Homes
  • Newark & Sherwood Homes
  • Tuntum Housing Association
  • Charnwood Neighbourhood Housing
  • Rykneld Homes
  • Nottingham Community Housing Association.

Efficiency East Midlands is supported and funded by the Homes and Communities Agency. It will aim to achieve savings on the procurement of goods and services and share these savings across all members.

The consortium was officially launched in July at an event which brought together a range of people with experience in building, regeneration, sustainable homes and environments.

Mark Johnson Chairman of EEM said:

Efficiency East Midlands has the potential to be one of the best organisations of its kind and I hope that other regional housing associations will join us to make this happen.
