Housing advice sessions in the Meadows and Hyson Green
We've teamed up with the county's leading housing support organisations to offer two support workshops for members of the black, minority ethnic, refugee and other communities.
- Are you unhappy with your living accommodation and don't know where to go?
- Would you like to know more about your housing options in Nottingham such as social housing, renting privately or HomeLink?
The workshops, which are held in the evenings, have been orgainised by HLG (Nottinghamshire Hostels Liaison Group), Notts Housing Advice and us at NCH.
At these events there will be presentations that cover issues such as:
- Social and private tenants' rights and responsibilities
- Landlords' responsibilities
- Different types of tenancies
- Repairs - who is responsible, where to report
- Applying for social housing (HomeLink)
- Organisations providing advice on housing issues.
Would you, or do you know someone, who might benefit from one of these sessions?
For more information, please contact Afzaal Nawaz, Tenant and Leaseholder Involvement team on 0115 915 7053.
Although these events are aimed at black, asian, minority ethnic (including EU migrant) and refugee communities, they are open to everyone.
