Caretakers clean up in regional review (NCH release)

The Nottingham City Homes' Caretaking team has come top in a regional tenant review of services.

We took part in a 'peer review' of our estates and caretaking services with other similar sized housing organisations across the region.

These reviews are used to benchmark our performance, compare quality measures and learn more about best practice in other organisations.

A team of our Tenant Services Inspectors joined tenants from other landlords to visit each other's cities and assess the quality of the services provided to customers.

This gives us an opportunity to learn from each other and better understand the aspirations of tenants. It also gives tenants the opportunity to have a broader understanding of issues faced by all housing organisations and share their own experiences.

Overall we scored 87%, which included a focus on caretaking and grounds maintenance. Nottingham City Homes came top in all categories.

Nottingham City Homes caretaker, Wayne Brown, said:

We all work really hard to keep the blocks and estates we work on in good condition. It's great that our customers think highly of our service, but it's also pleasing that tenants and leaseholder from other cities recognise the work we do too.

Nick Murphy, Chief Executive of Nottingham City Homes, said:

I have been out and about with the caretaking team, and have seen for myself that they do a fantastic job. But it is always good to know we are providing our tenants and leaseholders with the services they want to see.

This is a well deserved result for our team. They are really making a difference in creating homes and places where people want to live.
