Support and advice is on hand for tenants facing rent rise

Following the announcement about Nottingham City Council's rent rises, Nottingham City Homes is pledging to help tenants tackle debt and manage their money. The proposed rent rise of 5% means the average rent on a three bedroom house will rise by £3.06 per week and the average on a one bedroom flat will rise by £2.29 per week.

Two stars and 'excellent prospects' secures £165m for Nottingham's council homes

The Audit Commission has confirmed that Nottingham City Homes achieved a 'two star' rating in its recent November inspection, while showing 'excellent prospects for improvement'. The report was released on 29th January 2009, and recognises a transformed company..
