If your application to join the waiting list for housing has been approved and you want to start looking for a home, you’ll need to use Nottingham HomeLink.

With Nottingham HomeLink, instead of being offered a property, you get to choose the properties you are interested in and bid for them (don’t worry – it doesn’t cost anything).

Nottingham HomeLink means more choice for you. We’re one of 10 housing organisations that put homes on the website. The others are:

Nottingham City Homes
Accent Nene
Derwent Living
Asra Housing Group
Longhurst Housing Group
Nottingham Community Housing Association
Places for People
Stonewater (formerly Raglan Housing)
Metropolitan

Abbeyfield Society

Tuntum Housing

Every week, new properties are added so you can bid online, on the phone or at a housing office.

The person with the highest priority will get the property. You can currently bid for an unlimited number of properties each week until you get one.

Homelessness

You may be in a situation where you are, or will soon become, homeless. Nottingham City Council’s Housing Aid team can help. They can offer advice and support, and can help you to find temporary or alternative accommodation, either short or long term.

Joining the waiting list

If you want to join the housing register – the waiting list for an NCH home - you’ll need to complete a registration form.  You must be eligible for social housing within the law, have lived in Nottingham for three out of the last five years, and be 18 or older.

Area Guides

If you're interested in bidding for a home, but you want to know more about the area that the home is located, take a look at our Area Guides to help you decide if it's the right place for you.

Mutual exchanges

A mutual exchange is when you swap houses with another tenant. If you’re an NCH tenant you can exchange with any other NCH tenant, or any council or housing association tenant.

Housing to Health

Housing to Health is a service aimed at improving links between housing and health in Nottingham.
