East Midlands Regional Tenant Participation Forum

This group exists to bring together tenants, leaseholders, residents, officers, councillors and board members working on Tenant Participation issues in the region.

The groups aims and objectives are to:

  • Raise the profile of tenant participation across the region
  • Raise the standard of tenant participation across the region
  • Encourage more effective tenant communication, consultation and participation in the region
  • Develop best practice in the region
  • Further develop the regional training strategy
  • Provide networking opportunities
  • Seek out and pursue all available funding opportunities to enable the forum to achieve its aims and objectives
  • Effectively market the aims and objectives of the forum

It has a management committee made up from tenants, leaseholders and officers from housing organisations across the region. They have meetings every couple of months to look at the latest housing policy and legislation, and also organise three regional seminar events each year offering workshops and training along with guest speakers on the hot topics of the time.
