Nottinghamshire Tenants and Officers Network (NTON)

This group was originally formed in late 1999 following the setup of the EMTPF and meets at least four times a year.

notn logo NTON provides a forum for social landlords and their recognised tenant organisations to discuss the latest housing topics, network, share best practice and provide value for money training where possible. The NTON is open to all social housing landlords across the county to work in partnership to provide a network of 'excellence', which develops, encompasses and encourages tenant involvement.

Their main aims are:

  • Develop and support networking opportunities for tenants and officers of social landlords to enable success and failures to be shared to support development opportunities
  • Develop and deliver low cost training through joint funding targeted at identified needs
  • Encourage and develop initiatives that demonstrate good practice and experiences in tenant involvement across the county
  • Develop and support links with the East Midlands Tenant Participation Network through countywide issues can be raised

The group held a swap shop event in Spring of 2011 and are now starting to organise a county-wide training seminar in February 2012 after successfully being granted some external funding.

If you are interested in stepping up to volunteer on a regional basis, please contact the Involvement Team.
