Have a go at being a tenant inspector
If you or your family live in a Nottingham City council Home you will probably have noticed things around you that could be improved. As an inspector you can help us make sure our services are up to scratch and let us know what improvements need to be made.
You can:
- Be a 'mystery shopper' where you test our housing offices out in person and on the phone by asking for certain information and telling us what happened
- Tell us what needs to improve when you visit blocks of flats
- Check out empty properties that we have emptied and made ready for new tenants. As an inspector, you would check they are good enough for new tenants to move into
- do as much of this work as you like but you must be reliable
We will:
- Help you with travel costs to where you will be inspecting
- Work with other experienced tenant inspectors and NCH staff. Take a look at our training info
- Give you free training where you will learn more about housing issues. This will look great on your cv and will show that you are reliable and know your stuff
