Come to a workshop

We are offering extra support to people under 25. We can give you lots of practical hints to help you live in your first home. Things covered include:

  • How to bid for a property through the HomeLink scheme
  • Understanding the Nottingham Evening Post advertisement
  • Practical support we can give you in your new home
  • Tips on how to deal with debt and avoid this in the future
  • Tips on getting welfare benefits such as housing benefits and job seekers allowance
  • How to avoid or deal with rent arrears
  • Budgeting skills
  • Furnishing your first home
  • Credit Unions and how to save
  • Getting contents insurance for your prized possessions
