What you need to do
If you do the following, it will help us to get the work done as smoothly as possible and cause you the minimum of problems.
- Make sure you keep the appointments we make with you, or let us know if you cannot keep them
- Make sure all work areas are clean and tidy before our workers arrive
- Keep away from work areas, where possible
- Pack away breakables and valuables including pictures, plates, mirrors, clocks and electrical equipment
Keep children away from the work area. Make sure all children under 16 are not left unsupervised in your home while we are working there.
Keep your pets away from the work area. If they react badly to strangers please leave them with a friend or neighbour, if possible.
To help keep our workers safe, please do not:
- Use the work skips for your household rubbish
- Use threatening, abusive or discriminatory language, or behave in a disrespectful way
- Smoke while we are working in your home
Laminate or wood strip floors
This type of flooring can be easily damaged by repair and building works. To protect your flooring we advise you to take up flooring in the work area and store it while work is being done.
If you cannot take up the floor, the contractor will ask you to sign a disclaimer saying they are not responsible for any costs or damage caused to the floor.
If you refuse to sign the disclaimer we will not be able to carry out any work.
