Citizens’ Advice Bureau
The Citizens’ Advice Bureau (CAB) service is an independent charity which provides free, confidential and impartial advice from more than 3,200 locations. Advice is available face to face and by telephone. Most bureaux offer home visits and some provide an email service.

If you need help on anything such as welfare rights, debt, employment, immigration or disability, for example, you first need to phone. You will then either get an appointment with an advisor, be asked to use the information service ot be referred to a more suitable organisation.

This website run by the Fianancial Services Authority gives information on everything from saving, insurance, mortgages and loans as well as help with changes in your circumstances, such as when you retire or have a baby. Go to: http://www.moneymadeclear.fsa.gov.uk/

Advice for young adults
The Financial Services Authority (FSA), the UK’s main financial regulator, has launched an information website aimed at young adults. Described as a ‘one-stop-shop’ for information about money, it aims to give guidance about how to save and spend money wisely. Visit www.whataboutmoney.info for more information.
