Other benefits, tax credits and money saving advice

Billions of pounds of benefits and credits are going unclaimed every year - could you be missing out?

Figures released earlier this year by Age Concern said there are £3billion worth of benefits going unclaimed for vulnerable and elderly people. This is not the only area where people are not getting what they are entitled to. There are also millions of pounds worth of benefits for families, from maternity grants to child trust funds, paternity grants, child tax credit and child benefit.

Many of our tenants will be entitled to a range of benefits that they currently don’t claim. If you think this could be you, contact us on 0115 915 4920 to speak to your local Financial Inclusion Officer or visit one of the following websites to find out more:

  • Answer the ‘benefits adviser’ questionnaire to find out what benefits or tax credits you are entitled to:
  • Find out whether you are entitled to Housing Benefit by using our on-line Housing Benefits calculator
  • If you are of working age and seeking employment, you may also be entitled to a range of benefits. Go to Job Centre Plus for more information
