Emergency repairs
These are repairs that cannot wait until office hours to be done.
Attended within: four hours
Finished within: three days
May need: new parts - in this case you will get a further appointment to get the work done
The list below describes some of the repairs we will do in an emergency.
Examples
- Total loss of electrical power or partial loss where serious inconvenience is caused
- Unsafe electrics
- Total loss of water supply
- Total or partial loss of gas supply
- Blocked flue to open fire or boiler
- Total loss of water/heating
- Partial loss of water/heating (November to March only)
- Blocked or leaking foul drain, soil stack or toilet ball valve/overflow. If there are two toilets in your home this would be a routine order unless waste is being discharged
- Toilet not flushing
- Leak from water or heating pipe, tank or cistern. This does not include small drips
- Leaking roof
- Insecure external door or window
- Blocked toilet
- Unsafe floorboards, stair tread, banister or handrail. Here there must be a genuine cause for concern such as young children, elderly or disabled occupants
- Exposed survey chamber
This is not a total list as all requests will be carefully assessed when the report is made.
