Digital switchover
From April 2011, you will no longer be able to get analogue (or non-digital) tv.
This means you will have to switch to digital tv.
Please see the arrangements below if you get your tv through an aerial.
October 2010
The digital upgrade of its communal
aerials to flats and maisonettes will be completed
in October 2010. More than 10,000 properties will
be ready for the switchover. The upgrades being
completed by our partner Commercial Television
Systems will conclude in the Dunkirk and Lenton
Ward of the city.
December 2010
Properties receiving this upgrade
will need to have their outlet plate fitted or risk not
receiving a TV reception when our contract with Virgin
Media is terminated in December.
30th March 2011
BBC Two will go to digital and some new digital channels become available.
This means that
- If you haven't switched, you'll lose BBC Two
- If you have Freeview, BT Vision or Top Up TV you'll need to re-tune your equipment
13th April 2011
All the remaining analogue channels will switch to digital and the remaining
digital channels will become available.
This means that:
- If you haven't switched to digital, you will lose your TV service
- If you have Freeview, BT Vision or Top Up TV you'll need to re-tune your equipment again
