Other help with your garden

A number of other organisations can also help you with your garden if you do not qualify for our Garden Assistance Scheme.

Age Concern

Age Concern has compiled a list of approved local contractors which will carry out gardening work for tenants over 60. The approved contractors will charge for work but will provide a price beforehand.

The FIXIT scheme

FIXIT is a scheme available through the Framework organisation which works in partnership with Nottingham City Council. FIXIT will carry out minor garden work such as trimming hedges.

To qualify tenants must:
• Be moving into a new home
• Be experiencing difficulties maintaining their own home
• Have support needs in completing the gardening work
• Be referred by their Support Worker or Housing Patch Manager.

For details contact either your area housing office or housing patch manager. If you have a support worker they may also be able to refer you.
