Help us write the next chapter for affordable housing in Nottingham

The Nottingham City Homes Group is at the forefront of addressing the housing crisis by managing estates well and delivering new homes. With over 27,500 homes, 1000 employees and an annual turnover of £80 million, we work hard to provide the housing Nottingham and its communities deserve.

The last five years have seen significant growth and diversification in our business model.  We’ve stepped into the private rented sector, gained Registered Provider status, and we’re building more homes.

Group structure
Our Group structure comprises a parent Group Board and two subsidiaries – NCH Registered Provider Ltd (NCHRP), regulated by the Regulator of Social Housing, and Nottingham City Homes Enterprises Limited (NCHEL), a commercial company undertaking any trade or business beneficial to the Group.

Board structure
The Group Board concentrates on strategic matters. We also have an ALMO Board that has a strong focus on services to residents and tenant participation. There’s also an Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee (ARCC) that scrutinises risk, compliance, health and safety and development, and a Governance and Selection Committee (GSC) that looks after recruitment to and management of the Board and Chief Executive.

Our Board and Committee members advise and support the executive team, bringing a range of different experiences, professional backgrounds and skillsets to this vital work.

We now have vacancies for Non-Executive Directors as follows:

Group Board Members – Leadership and strategic direction of the Group, including setting corporate strategy and objectives.

ALMO Board Members – Supporting our resident-led ALMO Board which is responsible for overseeing the management of the homes we manage.

Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee Members – Financial control, risk management and compliance across the Group

Registered Provider Board Members – Developing and managing social housing initiatives in line with regulatory requirements

If you have an enquiring mind, a commitment to the principles of public life and the ability to help drive us forward, we’d like to hear from you. We’d particularly like to encourage interest from those with knowledge and expertise of strategic risk management, compliance, housing and estate management, housing development, communities and regeneration and repairs, and we believe that greater diversity on our board increases our effectiveness.
